hey there. i got a 95 cavy 2.2L, and im wantin to swap it for a twin cam out of a z24. im just wondering if it would be any difficult at all? looking at one out of a 01 right now.
should be easy going though?
It's not plug and play by any means. First, the transmissions are different, so you're going to need the one for the 2.4. And since the 2.4 you're looking at is an '01, the transmission is a Getrag instead of the Izusu used earlier and you'll need the shifter and such too. A large chore is dealing with the electronics between the dissimilar engines and years. Switch to the Performance forum and type "2.4 swap" in the search box.
