Hi everyone, I'm new to JBO

I just wanted to drop in and say hi and that I'm new to JBO. I've been reading almost every post for the last month and finally decided to join. I have a '99 2200 Cav that I am beginning work on. It's a slow process as funds aren't that readily available but I'm going to do things right the first time so there isn't a second time. Here's a little background, I had a '96 Sunfire 2.2 in the early 2000's that I loved. I discovered RKSport.com and a whole new world was opened to me. Unfortunately before anything came to fruition the car blew up, dream was dead. Fast forward to july of 2008, I bought my '99 Cav and noticed the previous owner had tried to "pimp it out". He lowered it (I don't see any lowering springs so I believe he cut the springs down), put the most generic and hideous purple (yes I said purple, like a flamboyant purple) air intake on it, and a "bad ass exhaust" aka a fart can muffler. So the idea was there but the execution failed tremendously, that's where I step in. So far the only thing I've been able to do was add a JVC HD cd player, replace all of the speakers with JL audio, and custom made an air intake from the universal Spectre ones they sell at Autozone. I'm in the process now of doing a full tune-up (oil change, new plugs,.....). I hope to purchase a Borla cat-back exhaust system, pacesetter header, and new rims (still on stock) within the next two months. I'm not trying to build a track car or anything like that, I just want a sweet ride that can kick ass, maybe burn a bunch of imports off the line, and look good doing it. I apologize for this being so long but i wanted a full and thorough introduction. Pics will be posted as my car progresses, all comments are welcome, just don't haze me too hard for being a n00b.

I know I've got a long road ahead of me but I'm fine with that. I'm eventually going to have it p&p'd and replace all the inner workings too. My dream is to put the v6 3800 in her but that might be for my next project way down the road. I'm going to take some pics today hopefully and post them later tonight so you guys can see what I'm starting with. I forgot to mention, the kid who owned it before me had some kind of decal on the hood that looks like it was a big UA. Hs anyone ever seen this logo before?
