I recently bought a 97 Cavalier RS manual and when i was coming to a stop sign
i stopped went to go and my car just turned off i tried to turn it back on and it would just click
so i figured the starter went and i tried push starting the car and it would turn over or anything
a few of my friends said that my engine seized up but i dont think thats the problem anyone
else have this problem?

typically if its just clicking, the starter is dead...

take it out and have it tested at a parts store.

Clicking can be fixed. It's the grinding you got to worry about.

mine was clicking like that its been doing it for awhile now ( ever since I installed my air ride) I had my battery tested, starter tested and kept messing with the wiring and turned out it was my alternator it kept draining my battery.

well if you were driving it then it died when you came to a stop, its not your starter since your car was already running. id check your battery

yep, bad battery not taking the charge from the alternator. or bad alternator not charging the battery.
as mentioned... bring the battery to a parts store for testing gl
