looks like a good clean car, great shape for a stock 98 annything . how long have you owned it for?
you should think about getting the rear tint replaced
I have Owned this car since February of this year...i had to get a new rear axel put on it because the girl who had it before me hit some ice and put it in a ditch...yeah, no bueno. But i had it checked out by a friend of mine who is a mechanic and he said its all good. The back tint is definitely on the list, i just need to get the time, lol.
Looks strikingly familiar
As said above,I would leave it stock,as in no body kit, shave the badges and moldings, different rims and a drop.
Look up a member by the name of Zyaaaa and you'll see what I mean.

just as a point of interest...why a big "no" on the body kit? i really like the looks of the one i found, and it would make the car appear lower without getting new springs...aside from the fact that this is a nice standard cavy, why not? btw plz dont take this the wrong way, im just seeing if there are legit reasons to stray away from the kit...
aw u dont hate on my seat covers...them things are the sh*t...dont forget meh Fuzzy Dice either! lol
If a kit is the way you would like to go,that's cool,I had a Drift front and was going to get the rest but stock just appeals more.

yeah...around here stock=sucks. it is appealing, but if you see a stock cavalier go by youre like "oh..a cavy.." then if you see another go by thats tricked out with a body kit, paint, and sounds great youre like "damn! that was a cavy?!" thats the way i see it, lol.
Nice Z24, looks exactly like one i was gonna buy yesterday except it was an auto so i changed my mind. As for the bodykit thing, its a Z24, you dont need a bodykit. Just lower it and focus on upgrading that LD9 powermotor. That stock z24 front bumper is just beautiful, go boost and cut the license plate area out for an intercooler and then it'll be even better. But focus on transforming that Ld9 into a Quad 4
GMR has got nothing on this

Nothing wrong with a stock z auto, espicially with the shift plus, yank stall, and a lsd. Some of the fastest ld9 guys are auto.I'd rather be a sleeper stock and beat someone, that blows their minds even more.

im diggin on the z24 for sure. its clean! welcome to the org.
what kit you lookin at gettin
Silly ricer, useless wings are for penguins.
If you get a body kit your gonna wanna lower the car too, its just going to look goofy. I personally love the look of white Z24's stock. They have a lot of potential as is with the right mods. Great pick up on the car, welcome to the site.
P.S. I want to burn you seat covers and fuzzy dice
Aight...heres the body kit i want to get--
i like the mesh in the front because i could add an intercooler without havin to cut out space for it
Just promise me one thing... You will not change the color! I love white anythings. Next ride will be a white sunfire gt or z24. White just looks soo clean, and contrasts with minor accents really well. Look into toyo tails...
with that kit you will need to lower the car to make it look right
But have fun with it if I were you I would get a good coil over setup to start

Alexis: Dustin, you're ghey, lol. I am better. I have tits, and tits rule all.
Since I'm new to adding stuff to my car, what would be a good idea for adding some serious horsepower to my 2.4(aside from a sc)? i've looked around on the internet and i see stuff and i'm like "what does this do exactly?" plus, i get frustrated when i see something interesting but its not explained. what are some of the best sites to get parts from? thx...i'm tryin to lose my n00b status here...
In the performance forum, under Stickies, there is a good write-up by Event called Performance FAQ. There is a lot of good information in there that pertains to a lot of questions Im sure you have.
I would do the rims and suspension or performance stuff first. IMO a body kit on a car with stock rims is rice. Z24 models look good stock so I would not be in anyu hurry to change it. Also just a litle FYI the older you get the less cool body kits are.

You'll need more than just springs to lower the care properly without causing more damage to your car than you realize. Also, throwing on a body kit will sometimes exaggerate the gap. I've seen people that were lowered throw on a kit and then lose the drop unintentionally.
Also, start out with the cheaper items first. Lower the car, then maybe rims. Getting the kit on and painted could run you upwards of 2 grand (or more!) depending on the quality of the kit you buy (no ebay). You could probably get a nice set of wheels and suspension off some of the members in your region. A nice drop will do wonders for a car.
