I 'm new to the eco eco """ and I don't have a repair manual for the car
I changed the head gasket ([not] in record time)
And I thought if locked the cam sprockets to the chain w/ zip ties
I would be able to change the head w/ out disturbing the timing
And I believe it might have worked if Ihadn't taken the intake sprocket
off to replace a forgotten bolt behind timing chain guide
Well not think I had already taken off one of the zip ties & forgot to replace it
and the chain jumped the sprocket & I'm now lost .
Please help

There is WAY more than timing than the chain being in the right place...
There are a lot of dowels, you have to put #1 cyl at TDC, set the dowels up, and set the chain, at least thats how it is on the 2.4, I'm not much into Eco's. Might want to pick yourself up a Haynes or Chiltons manual at Autozone so you have pictures and a guide.

I'm a honda Man but my Uncle gave me his 03 cavalier 2.2
bad head gasket ( head not warped) .
I' ve been work on car 18 years hondas for 10.
I' ve never come across anything like the eco-tec
it 's built like a motorcycle motor.
My honda skills aren't helping more like hurting.

You have to remove the chain the remove the head.
If it's anything like a 2.4 (which I have) Piston #1 has to be at TDC, and then I believe all you need to do is make sure the dots on the crank and both cams are lined up with the dots or lines on the block and head (usually streight up), then you just put the chain back on. I prefer the way most honda engines drive the cams too, thats one of my main compaints about the 2.4 and eco engines.
