1989 Turbo Trans Am #82, 2007 Cobalt SS G85
I had this for my 95' V6 Grand-Am when I was 16. It does make a turbo sound, kinda but the little stem that makes the sound, fell out in about 5 or so days (worthless after that). Basically, its just a cup that catches some exhaust gas then goes through a small whistle. I did not notice a performance decrease, but again I was young and couldn't tell the difference between a go-cart and my grand am (just j/king). IMO, I think it's over priced for a cheaply made product. It should last longer than 5 days. But it does what it says (changes the sound of your exhaust) , but it is no where near a turbo sound. Just like a whistle.... I heard one of these on an mid 90ish Accord, and man was it annoying.... sounded like a high pitched whistle. Maybe it sounds different depending on the engine... the output... Personally, I wouldn't pay more than 5 dollars USD for this, just for kicks ya know. its POS for anything more than 5 dollars. I would never put it on my current car. It's like taking a megaphone and putting canned air up to it and make a cheap blow off valve sound ( I know bad anology =) ). But it could definatly throw some people off.... WTF is that?!? I donno if I helped any, but it's just my 2 cents.
lol.....ive seen these before. since a BOV only releases pressure between shifts(most of the time) no ones gonna think you have a turbo when it whistles the whole time.
if your gonna buy this thing then you should definately buy some spinner hubcaps to go with it.

^^^ LOL @ whiteboyz24..... make sure you buy them at wal-mart too. Don't forget those speed ehancing stickers.... and neon windsheild washer nozzles..... and .... IAT chip.... 25++ HP at the wheels too!!! Get right now just for 19 dollars and it comes in my cheaply made plastic box to make it look like it works.... costing you more in gas per day while making your car burn rich...... lol
