Just bought a 03 cav. When im driving a little yellow arrow on the right side on the instrument panel tells me when to upshift. Im pretty tired of it. I know when to upshift. Any way to disable it?
i didnt disable mine in my 98. all i did was take the top dash pad off, remove the radio bezel and then the clear plastic in front of the gauges. then i just put a piece of black electrical tape on the light. works good and it doesnt show up anymore
i ave a 2000. i took my cluster out and in the back of the cluster you will see a small led right where the light is. just cut the led out of that spot. it's a perm disable but it works. i took out my upshift, drl, air bag, and abs lights. just take off the top of dash and front trim around speedo cluster to gain access to cluster. then 2 screws and a connector in rear.

hmm is that all it took out. My 03 doesn't have airbags so that wouldn't be a problem.

i took out my air bags to install a new steering wheel, and pass side to put a monitor in that spot. no abs for rear disc conversion. i disconnected those lights because they are annoying.
you wouldn't happen to have a picture of which one you got rid of would you?

no its back together now. butl if you see where your light is, you can mark it with something or take the cluster out and shine a flashlight at it you can see which one it is. they are little tiny led lights on the back side of the cluster about 1/8" in size with a terminal on each side of the light. i hope this helps.

Cant, you just remove the bulb, like I did, on my 2nd gen? I can't see mine in my sunfire, my seating / steering wheel posistion just happends to make it so my steering wheel blocks it from view thank god. I can se my aftermarket progressive shift lights though
How does your car not have air bags, I though it was a law since 1996 all cars must have them
