ok this is probably the dumbest question i have asked....or it seems to me like it might be....but do they make short-shifters for automatics? i think it would look pretty sweet....just a simple yes or no would be great

no but you can always shorten the shifter itself anyway
well are you referring to short shifter for performance, or strictly for looks? for looks you can cut it down and put a different shifter handle on it. for performance you can get a B&M ShiftPlus or the other one for autos, but the name is escaping me right now
just came to me, the other one is the autotrans interceptor
auto trans interceptor

BTW: This is my Sig.
mainly just for looks....so i could just take a hack-saw or something to it to shorten it?
??????????
i might attempt this later when i get off work so im hopin i can do this..
so never got around to it but can i for sure just take a saw to it and everything will work properly?

Im a Xbox 360 fanboy...and damn proud of it!!
I do believe that when u take the handle off the shifter u will see a yellow bit of plastic inside the black "shifter" pipe. You need to measure how much taller the yellow piece is over the black piece, and keep this ratio. So if the yellow piece is 1" taller than the black piece, then when ur done shortening the shifter, you have to make sure the yellow piece is still 1" taller than the black piece. If anyone can understand that, god bless you.
i haven't heard of anyone making a short shift for an automatic... however you can buy new shifter knobs for automatics... they're about the same height (unless you chop the bar itself). I bought one just because I was at a parts store and thought it looked cool, but after swapping it with the old one I found that I could shift through all gears without having to hold the brake down. Really handy for me seeing as how I deliver pizzas... sometimes I'll miss a house and have to turn around fast.
