I was just what model every suggests for someone who is new to tuning?
I know pretty much know nothing about cars and I'd love to learn and do some of the work. Which model should I get? I was thinking the newer ones. Are they easy to install the bolt ons or will I have to take it somewhere and have them do it?
I plan on getting an intake and full exhaust(including header). Could I do both of that myself?
I don't care about looks. So no interior/exterior mods for me.
Also, I'm thinking about getting an automatic. I tear standards up pretty bad, rather not spend $$$$ getting it fixed every other month

Is there much of a power difference from sticks to automatics?
Thanks,
Aaron
upgrade your clutch and coming from an auto owner, keep your manual.warm air or cold air intakes, intake manifold, header, are all somewhat easy bolt-ons,full exhaust unless you weld I would take to a shop.Good luck and welcome to the site.

if you took the time to learn to drive a standard you will find ther are a bit quicker (5 speed mt, 3 speed auto).
i take it you havent bought the car yet so i guess what modey and year is kinda up to what you can afford and what is available.
z24 are the mor ezpensive ones because they have more power options and the big motor, i would want a z24 coupe. what ever you get there are a few things that you can do youre self. id suggest a ram air to start. get a chiltom manual and figgure out what you could do your self.
i started with a base model 95 sunfire auto 3 spd even after a ram air intake it sucked ballz i bougth a 96 z24 back in aug did the same n put an aem wai on it n wow what a diffrence i never drove standard in my life untill i bought this Z and in my opinion an auto will be quicker off the line but only being a 3 spd the 5 spd will burn it down the 1/4 mile. it's not that hard to drive stick just with a manual try not to power shift or double clutch with it n learn to drive a stick the proper way not doign 5g clutch dropps @ green lights.
