Hi there, i just joined today, my name is Vinny, i am in OHIO. I got a 2004 Cav LS sport sedan in june of 06. I just found out about this site, and it makes me happy that it is around for me. I don't know much about cars, but i hope to learn something from you guys. Lately, i have been jonesing to do some things with cars more than ever. I have always wanted to do some things but never had the time. This summer i really want to start for real. I like my new car, and want it to be the best it can be, so i will put all my time and effort into making it into a really nice ride. Yeah, it's automatic... but i didn't have a choice, as i bought it used. I got it with 18,000 miles on it and it is my daily driver. It currently has 24,000 miles on it and i have taken really good care of it. You guys will probably see a lot of me around the forums asking noob questions and whatnot. I hope i can get to know some of you guys so i can talk more about the car and do some cool stuff with it.

sooo... here is a pic.

It's my one and only. She has been taking a bit of abuse this past winter though. There's a small ding in the rear left quarter from someone slamming a shopping cart into it. Also, just recently, a small pebble rock kicked up and cracked my rear tail light cover in the middle and left quite a mark. I will probably ask where to get that replaced and whats the best way to remove the dent...

This summer i hope to learn how to install these items from you guys:

Cold air intakes

Headers

spark plugs/wires

exhaust

sound

auto shift enhancements

brakes

minor mods/free mods

any other bolt-on i can get my hands on

and also what the best brands are for each item for my particular model of cavi.

I look forward to being a part of this spectacular orginization, and hopefully i can someday become a very active member and attend meets in my area. Any input for a beginner would be greatly appreciated, such as where should i start in terms of doing some cool things to the car for very little to no cash.

Peace out fellas!
your boy - Vles007

So you think that ebay would be the best place to find one? What would be the technical name for that back cover so i can find it easier?

Simply "rear tailight 04 Cavalier".

I have an 04 Cavalier, 36,000 miles now and is has been trouble free. The trunk latch broke, that was it.

Watch out on here where you get advice from.

I have said it before to new people and will say it again.

Some people on here post just to post. You may say your dash lights are in-op, they will tell you replace the fuel pump to fix it. Some people on here are really stuipd than dirt.

there are a few people that know what they talking about, not to blow my own horn, but I'm a mechanic for a liviing, I fix cars nine hours a day, I know what I'm talking about. There is anoth guy from Ohio who is a mechanic, and Darkstars is good also, few other people also are decent for advice.

And remember that alot of us around here are self-taught mechanics that try and help people from our past experiences',not try and throw them off with misinformation and alot of guesses'.I always stick by the rule that if I don't believe someone's info. I research it myself.

Hmm... doesn't look much lower to me. Have any more closeup pics? And how much did it cost you? I'm a little strapped for cash at the moment since i'm trying to get this mustang GT too.

Ahh, i see. Very nice. Do you notice a difference in the ride? This car feels very rigid as it is. The ride is not very comfortable.
