hey all i'm new to this site running out of Texas I'm modifying most of my parts myself such as i modified my intake to take a k&n filter (it was oval shaped and that proved to be somewhat difficult with out spending 50 to 100 dollars at a local shop) I'm currently putting a hood scoop off of a 79 trans am on to my little sunfire '00 i have green under-body neons and a couple other places through out the inside i like the j body style for looks it has a ecotec 2.2 in it and Ive heard that those can take a real beating i want to find a turbo and convert it to a standard transmission cant seem to find reasonably priced forged rods and that is my biggest concern i remember reading somewhere that they blew the rods out of the side of the block ... other than that i want to get a body kit, i know it would cost a lot but i want to get custom paint and interior anyways hello all nice to meet y'all

unless you or the previous owner did an engine swap its not an ecotec. eco's started to appear in J's in 2002

they were asking bout 600 - 700 locally i saw some online for like 500 -550 but i dont like buying things off line cause i dont know quality of parts and such
