hey guys im new to this site but me and my girlfriend recently just purchased a 95 sunfire 5spd, 132K as a daily driver. We are looking at putting a system into it. Anyways today we found a sweet deal on an alpine deck and decided to pick it up, so we got all the kits and everything to install it. Ive installed aftermarket cd players before in many cars and even a 96 sunfire before but this one is different. After I got the stock one out and started hooking up all the wires, I usually get the ground, power and power lead hooked up to make sure the deck works and it wouldnt turn on, so im really confused and decided to put the stock one back in until tommorow when I get more time to look at it, I get the stock one put back in and now that wont even turn on. I checked the fuse and its fine and I checked the alpine deck in my other car and it works great. Please help me I cant drive around with no tunes.
are you getting 12v at the power/power lead and a good ground? If the fuse is fine those would be my two suspicions...
my cd player wouldn't work without the antenna wire plugged into it... maybe you're having the same problem. my car is a 95 cav by the way.
