Well im a power junkie and to tell you the truth im not all that into Stock J-bodys or body kits of flash so much. I am into making something that is not meant to be.... Ok heres my crack pot plan. Im a supra guy always working on them and such and my brother drives a 97 cavy. Well i thought it would look pretty cool if it was converted to rear wheel drive and received a nice turbo charged toyota engine..... Well Now im searching for a donor body most likely ill get one with a blown motor and go to town. heres some pics for ya guys and gals.

No that 2jz isnt going into that cavy... sorry

that ugly duckling went in.

I can't wait to see that. So what DO you plan to put in it? Maybe a 5M or 7M?

too bad that 96 pontiac conversion isn't working yet...running but not moving ARGH oh well. sean has a 5m with a turbo, that would rock that little cavy... i wonder if we could do it with a 5m tranny and one of the 7m engines laying around. ill go look after im done typing in the toyota manuals to see if the 5m trans will bolt up to the 7m, and consult perhaps to see how much power i could run reliably. hey hey thinking now he has a turbo from a 7m on that 5m right now. if this goes further than discussion i will post pics.

that's right sean welcome to the humble economy car forum, im so happy the 5m tranny will bolt up to the 7m engine! conveniently all the stuff is all around too! just need to put that hoist up now. alright folks heres some specs i just looked up for this potential crazy waste fest:

MY 97 CAVY (INCOGNITO RWD TURBO RICER)
wheel base: 104.1"
Length:180.3"
width:67.4"
2838 LBS

83 SUPRA (5SPD TRANNY/REAR END)
wheel base: 102.9"
Length:183.4"
width:66.3"
2970 LBS

MKIII SUPRA (ENGINE)
wheel base:102.1"
Length:181.8"
width:68.7"
3459 LBS
3.0 TURBO I6 24V
230 HP @ 5600 RPM
246 FT-LBS @ 4000 RPM

these numbers for the engine are base only. joy. i know the MKIII tranny will hold up to 500 HP but im not sure with the 5m, ah more figuring.

if we make this devil machine i will want to sell it and buy a chevy celebrity...
is there a market for such nonsense?

People say that what doesn't kill you in this life
will make you stronger. I'm not sure if that is true
or not, but i do know one thing-You have to learn from
it and it has to make you better.......it has to.......
