ok, i need some help here. im bored as hell, and ive been doin some lookin around on my car all morning, i.e. where the thermostat is, and how to take out the tuner tube and stuff. (tuner tube was already gone on my car no fun there...)
so that stuff is all taken care of...
so now that i have nothing else to do today, what would be a good free (or really REALLY cheap) little mod (like the tuner tube) that i could do next. if anyone could just point me in the rite direction, like to a faq or an old post, id appreciate it.. because i dont even know what the next step would be, lol.

The large plastic part that GM calls an intake. Pick up some pipes from your local exhaust shop and make your own intake.

Honestly, theres nothing you can do to help speed up your car for free(or cheap) ie.
"tuner tube"/"bong".

Check into the performance forum or boost forum for some better ideas.

u know, i really wish people would READ BEFORE THEY POST... because i said that i was BORED. never did i once say that i was lookin for cheap or free horsepower... i was just looking for something to do, and seeing as i was undre the hood of my car all morning to begin with i figured posting on here would give me some more ideas of anything i could possibly do that will take up some time, i.e., the tuner tube. read my profile, or even my car domain and you'll see that i am serious about doin some serious work on my car, the only reason i ask for cheap and/or free, is because I AM BROKE. which you would also know if you would read my profile or my car domain... so please KNOW WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT BEFORE YOU POST. just to prevent little screw ups like this.

ok, well first of all if your not cheap than go buy the GM supercharger, that'll keep you entertained for hours, better yet you could just go get yourself a shiny object, I'm sure that would entertain you. If you don't want people to post their opinions, then don't post stupid questions. No one said you were cheap, but when was the last time you walked into to an autoparts store and saw an intake for a cavalier sitting there, or a complete exhuast set up, or anything, I never have. You have to order these things, and that takes time, so nothing will really cure your boredom right now, your just gonna have to put up with it. I also read your cute little profile, and I have to say that almost everything says that you need money, implying that you have none, which means you can't afford much. Thus, you have to be cheap, because you have no cash to get parts. Simple as that, have a good night.

"cheap" and "BROKE" are two completely different things... cheap implies the fact that i have the money, but dont want to spend it. the truth is that i have NO money and want to spend... not to get into a pathetic little thread battle, but on that note, i hope ive cleared it up... now, if u have the capacity to understand the definition of cheap(finally), maybe you can understand this... IF for any reason you don't like what someone has to say... YOU DON'T HAVE TO POST... and continuing to screw up in saying that i am cheap, when its perfectly clear that you dont know the definition, leads me to believe that you are more interested in pissing someone off than really helping someone out, or maybe just like seeing your own little signature on the big screen in front of your face... why would YOU, howe0822, respond to my little thread posting about me not being cheap? you said 2 words to me, and 3 dollar signs (dont answer, i dont really care)...and i only pointed out my "cute little profile" because i was trying to proove that i am not cheap and that i am serious about my car, o, and the fact that people should know what i am talking about before they post on a thread that has been started...

Personally, I was looking for the same thing since I'm broke also at the moment and waiting to have the money for the Clutch and A.C compressor to get fixed in my car. So i guess making a new shift boot and clearing my knobs and then just cleaning it up will do for now and yes i have the meterial left over froma friend for the shift boot so still free mod if only for looks.

when I had my cavailer, I put a shift boot in it was free. But there isn't anything you can under the hood you can do to see any real improvement, other than clean.
