Take the little retarded breather filters off and connect those two spots with a hose like it is supposed to be.

There should be a hose in there where you have those 2 little filters.

That is what replaces the PCV valve on our engines. It is where vaccum is is used to suck the nasty gases out of your crank case ( very important ) that can actualy eat away at bearing material ( takes a while so don't panic ) Just stick a hose on there and call it a day.

It doesnt replace the PCV valve it just takes away the hose that was there. A pcv valve is a one way valve, having filters there does not replace that function, in any case you have a permenent PCV valve, just stupid little filters instead on the hose.

The ECO has no PCV valve of any kind just this and an area in the intake thats open to the crankcase area. That hose is there to provide a vaccum sorce to clean the crankcase of blowby gases. Just like a PCV vavle would have done. Your thinking of the 2.4 and 2.3 that has that black box thing under the intake with tubes running all over
the place. For them a breather might be OK but for an ECO you should have the hose hooked up.
