So I bought an intake off of ebay for my 2.2l OHV engine. I got the intake in and "tried" to install it. Everything went fine, I even started it up and it sounded great. Then I went to shut my hood and it stopped about 3 or 4 inches above where it should be. I'm not sure if I installed it wrong or weather it just doesn't fit my car. Any assistance on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Here is a pic of the intake I ordered if that helps any.
sure you have it in the right way?
a pic of the engine with intake would help

I don't know how else it could go. The throttle body is ontop of the engine, and the only open space for the filter in the engine compartment is to the right of the engine, and I can't twist it around to go down anymore. I'll try to get a pic of the intake installed.
You could try cutting down the piping but I don't know how well that will work. This is the problem with buy cheap ebay intakes....fitment is a toss up in the air. Worse comes to worse, you have to buy another intake.

thats probably one of those intakes that just attaches to the stock tube and not the actual throttle.
If your trying to connect it to the throttle body thats not where it goes. I had one like that and it replaces just the tubing.
Kinda like this

I see you have the old 95-97 2.2 OHV.....I had this same intake on my previous car
Hope this helps

Thanks for all of your help. I got it installed today. It just took some finessing to get it into the right position.
