aftermarket tail ?

ok, just asking this question makes me feel very newbish, but oh well, lol

the new tails i got have confused me. all the other tails ive had previously(many) always have the posts that the quick nuts that hold the tail in already threaded. on my new set, it is just a solid metal pole, with no threads.

my question is how do i mount these tails? if i just put the nuts on, will they thread out the posts, or is there another way im supposed to attach these.

any help is appreciated. thanks in advance

I had a OEM style light that I replaced on my car last winter. (Light was smashed) It was not threaded. So I used the quick nuts from my old tail light, and made some new threads by tightening it on. Worked fine for me.

Yes the nuts used on your stock ones with cut new threads through the plastic. Just tighten them down.
