I have a 04 ecotec with 19,000 miles on it. I just recently reground my cams to stage 2 specs. I was wonderin if I could get away with the stock valves and valve springs for a while.

19k? oh yeah you should be fine 42k when I put in my cams.

Yes you can. Most companies design street camshafts to work fine with an otherwise stock valvetrain.

Only thing I would do if I were you is to make sure that you aren't running rich after you install the camshafts. I'm not sure if the 04+ computers will correct that but the 03 computer in my car ran rich and my top end was horrible on stage 1 camshafts untill I bought an SAFC to lean it out.
