Does anyone know were I can find a decent Lambo door kit for a reasonable price???
Just some info for you:
Usually when it comes to buying vertical door hinges, the hinges aren't what you should be worried about, it's other areas...mainly the shock. There are plenty of cases where the shock keeps popping out of it's holding and/or the shock blows.
So overall, my tip is if you want reliable vertical door kits with NO problems, you gotta spend around $900-1000+...otherwise you'll regret it. You'll be pissed that your door opens sometimes or you just have constant problems with it. That's just my advice for you.

Yes, but I do believe Modified Motorsports covers their shocks if they blow.

ALL companies have shocks that will blow out... the MMS kit is the exact same as the VDI which goes for around a grand for a pair, the problem is when there is a group purchase and they are sold for cheap and everyone and there mom buys them. And because so many people have them and so many bitch like to bitch and moan you hear about every incident that occurs.
on a side note.... I know your trying "to be different from the ricers, DO YA OWN THANG!!!!!! " so I would strong advise against putting lambo doors on a car thats stock

im going to have to disagree with you darkstars. the two shocks are made by different companies and even look different. if anyone needs me to show them, i can supply pictures upon request.

i agree with darkstars. due to the fact of the G/P alot on here have gotten this lambo hinge. so you take the couple hundred that have bought the kit over the 3 times this G/P has been set up and you will have some problems. i feel the ration isn any different then anything else. a couple of j's at ione time or so had mentioned that they had VDI and had problems but not as many got these so not very many problems mentioned. there was even a issue with the company sending the wrong struts for a short while with the kits on the 1st or 2nd G/P. so that aside, the odds of the number of kits joe has sold(to the org) vs the number of ones that had problems is probably low. of course you here from the ones that had problems vs the ones that dont.
as of comparing the mms to the vdi struts i dont know about that.

your probobally right, from what I've heard the "hinge" is the same, so I assumed the shocks where included in "the hinges"

I believe so but it's the whole issue of how often you'll have to replace them...doesn't seem worth it.

I SOOO agree on that one. It just doesn't look right to me unless you have some type of nice body setup.

which 2 of the 3 do you have?
1. time
2 money
3 knowledge- you would need at least 2 if not all 3 of these
it likse saying, how can i get a cheap car that's fast and reliable, you can have two
I'll give you my personal opinion, and this is coming from someone who has them.... They suck and they are a big waste of money and time. Sure.... you love them for a while, and then you realize how much of a pain in the ass they are. Then shocks start blowing, and in my case, they dont even make the shocks anymore for the kit that I have.... so guess what, i have a dead, free weight 80lb door I have to lift up on the passenger side.
I will never ever put vertical doors on any more cars that I own, in my opinion, they are starting to look dumb to me anyway. Thats what happens when they are so cheap anymore that everyone starts to buy them.

Yes and no. You gotta either take the shocks out and send them to him then get another pair (pain). Or buy another and then swap and send back for a credit
Either way it is a pain in the rear to do, better to spend the money for a qaulity kit with qaulity shocks.
and I agree 120% with Meckster on this. Took the words out of my mouth!
