I recently took ownership of a 98 z24 2.4 and im new to the world of 4cyl power. so i was need some info on what is the best plugs and wires, cold air intake,headers and exhust setup/pref.some thing that does not sound like a honda fart cannon

Catalytic Converter: Magnaflow
Cat-back: Magnaflow, Thermal or have yours custom bent and fit a resonator/glasspack & muffler on of your choice.
The reason you usually hear really loud, raspy sounding exhausts is because they have a lack of resontator(s) and the type of muffler they have. If you don't go that route of no resontators and get a nice oval style muffler from Magnaflow, you'll be good.

remove the tuner tube in your intake is a start until you buy or make one. plus, it adds to a little underhood time for you to get use to the new engine. go to teamfowardmotion.com and look around there. it will explain what the tuner tube is cause i know that is your next question.

As for spark plugs, AC delco, and NGK, and even autolite are good, NOTHING BOSCH.

But you can get the performance spark plug bootie type things form RK Sport.
and they do hardly nothing.
cold air intake is just a gimmick. any intake will do.
pacesetter seems to be a popular choice around here as far as header goes.
custom exhaust is the way to go these days

i have been doing research on mufflers and found some mufflers that have an ajustable tips for different sound and performance I also i like the look of the magnaflow street series mufflers any one had any experiences let me know thanks

i got a pace setter header for sale i bought it from rsm last year and i swear never put it on. i'll beat the rsm price with shipping i think depends on the shipping price, i just put a new stock exhasut on the car and going turbo soon as possible. hit me up nickrenaud@hotmail.com
oh yeah on more thing i can sell you a oval stainless steel muffler too cheap in good shape only thing is you have to take the rotted pipe out of it.
