If you're a good driver, you can run anywhere from 15.2-15.5

and yes, I have friends with these years who run at the track and that's the average of what they pull.

hummmm...well then my ecotec is slower than normal.... I did 17.2sec in 1/4mile, I have 03 LS sport sedan AT, bone stock ( at the time ), with 2xsubs and a tool box in the trunk....
NJHK, just wondering have you taken the sunfire to the track bone stock, if so...how you did??

No I haven't...

First time at the track was at the 04 J-body Bash. I ran 16.5 best with Cams, Full Exhaust, Intake, Mounts & Auto Trans Interceptor.

16.5? SLOW!

But seriously, elevation plays a huge role in 1/4mile times.

also at the bash it was about 90 degrees air temp and well over 120-130 track temp. definately not good racing conditions.

corrected altitude for that day had to have been a bitch. Wih I had all the weather info from that day...I'd go back and calculate it out. LOL. Definately was a few hundred feet above Indy's elevation at least.

I used to race cars, now I race myself.

at super chevy in pomona, ca (like 25ft altitude with around 75 temp) a few years ago i ran a guy in an 03 eco/manual sunfire.

when he ran against me he launched like crap and ran a 16.9 to my 16 flat.

i talked to him later in the day and his best time so far was a 15.8

he was all stock and a good driver (long time drag racer playing with his wife's new car).

GO PATS!!!

my 05 cavy base 1sv 5spd with pretty much an aem cai and a cheap muffler that didnt do a thing but make my exhaust louder a full xtreme kit which r bumper covers not replacements 2 10" subs 17" wheels ran me a best of 16.635 at 83.35mph of course it was my first time at the drag strip w/ the cavy. i took 3 runs and ran a little warmer than normal! best r/t of the 3 was .312 best 60' was 2.459 best 330' 6.998 best 1/8mile 10.750@65.75 but i also had a slower 1/8 mile w/ quicker speed of 66.5mph best 1000' 13.942... so it all depend on the driver and power 2 weight ratio! all three of my runs were between 16.6-16.7! but i wanna try again now that i got my cat-back and will have a cf hood!!
