My gf has a 2002 pontiac sunfire. Now i am not going to lie. I do not like this car at all but thats why i joined here. Learning about different cars and what they are capable of usually helps me to get to like them more. I own a 2002 hyundai elantra. mod list and pics in the "other cars" section. I don't have any pics of her car but its a just a silver coupe. nothing special.
Hey, welcome!
Don't mean to sound like a dick, and I might get flamed for this but...you can honestly tell me you like a Hyundai over a GM?
welcome to the org.
even if you're not a fan of the car, you can always come here and ask questions when you have a problem with the car or are wanting to do something. we're pretty good at helping as long as you aren't an ass about it.

what does GM have over hyundai?? better quality...no, better prices...not really, better reliability...nope, more stable structure not on the verge of bankruptcy...don't think so.
there's a lot of different reasons to like a LOT of other cars and car companies over GM right now.
GO PATS!!!
Brian, I'm only going by what I know from my buddies old Hyundai. Of course he now has a VW and he couldn't stand the Hyundai, nor could I. Of all the GM's my family has ever owned, none have ever had a major problem, hell, no kind of recall either. I just remember his particular car being a big POS. Next time I won't be so shallow on what I only know. Thanks!
welcome to the addiction, known simply as: the ORG
theres been a few that started with your view and have grown to enjoy the car or even started to mod it with the basics. you have any questions just ask. for the MOST part ones will help you out. give ther car a chance before you hate it to much
after you see some of the guys/gals cars on here and find the possablities endless. we have plenty of help from a handful of shops on here that help get us parts we want/need. ive used jason at a+ performence, joe at modified motorsports, and jim at gravana's. thats only a few that are here to help.
thanks for the warm welcome guys. i'm not a newb to forums just this one. i frequent elantraxd and newtiburon. also am part of clubcivic. your friend probably owned an older hyundai. they have come a long way. i trust this car quite a bit. well part of the reason i probably don't like her car is i've always viewed it to be a "chick car". i don't mean to offend any guys whom own one and love it. i'm not saying it is. i've just always viewed it as such. plus its an auto which i don't like. heres hoping i get to learn alot about her car!
I had the same views on Cavy's and Fire's. I thought they were all chic cars, till I drove one and absolutley loved it. It is the current car I have. After I drove it for like a week, I found out that this was my most favorite car. A few days later, I also found out, that it wasn't to terribly exspensive to mod these suckers.
My view chagned right away about Cavy's and Fire's being chic cars. Honestly I think more males drive them anyways.
honestly i just think sunfires are chick cars lol cavy's aren't. my opinions of cavys were spoiled by my friend whos a bit too cocky with a 2004 ls couple auto who still thinks he can beat me in a race and is a huge liar.

When I got my Z24, my best friend knew I was in the market for a new car, but didn't know I'd made up my mind. So as I pull up in my Z24, he's accused me of owning a "chick car" and found every way to put it down and basically made fun of me... until I took him for a ride and showed him that is modded Civic EX Coupe was the punk against my stock Z.
Cavalier Z24, Sunfire GT, and the Ecotecs NOT chick cars
Especially when your father who owned and drag raced a '66 Shelby Mustang GT500 tells you that your cavalier is "one torquey son of a b**ch for a 4-banger"

An elantra seems like a chick car to me. What I mean is as long as your happy with your ride, thats all that counts huh?
Welcome
