Hello everyone, id just like to introduce myself. My names Mike and i recently inherited a free 92 cavalier RS coupe. It isnt the best in the world but i have huge ideas for it such as a 2.4L or 2.2L ecotec 5 speed swap and work from there, im in Williamstown Pa. and if anyone had any ideas how hard the swap/conversion would be id love to hear it. i look foreward to getting to know some people here and possibly one day meeting some either at Carlisle carshow or other places. Hope this is the right spot!

Hello, I also am from Pa. and I must admit Im new to the tuning and performance thing, I finally have a car worth tuning and doing stuff to. Im own a 2003 Cavalier, 2.2 ecotech, auto. trans, all the options. I already have a few ideas I was given by a friend, such as lowering springs, cold air intake, spoiler/body kit so Im looking forward to modifying my car. However if anyone can help me on the cold air intake dilemma im having....would it be that much of a noticable differance if Id put on a Short ram intake instaed of a cold air intake..I say that because it tends to flood around here alot and if I lower my car by an inch so...im not so sure id want a cold air intake. I look forward also to getting to know people from here.

Welcome Joel as well to the

Might I add...fill out your registry, helps people in the future incase you have questions and also it's "ecotec" not "ecotech", some people here will get on your case about that.

Welcome to what some like to call the 'addiction.' Hope you have fun here!

Joel Stern - Welcome! Also, if you're thinking about lowering springs, make sure you look into struts as well. Many people wind up blowing their struts because OEM struts aren't made to handle any sort of drop.

Blown.
