2.4 twin cam cover on engine

is it possible to remove the 2.4 twin cam cover without no problems (like replacing a gasket) or something stupid like that, cause i want to paint it

Yup, comes right off. Just kinda a pita to get around the fuel lines, remember to take the plug out of the side of it, undo the screw and bracket on the fuel line (follow the fuel line back to find it), then pull straight up on it.

You'll also find your spark plugs under there.

It is recomentded that you chnage the gasket though, and its not expensive so no biggie

There is no gasket there.

Oh, okay. I know when I was thinking of doing mine although an ecotec I was told to change it and I assmumed it would be the same...........so is there infact one there for the ecotec?

I don't believe so, if you took the whole cam cover off, yes, but just the plastic cover on the spark plugs, no.

Oh no, I was planning on doing the actually valve cover so th metal part that goes around the black plastic piece that covers the plugs, I was planning on making it match my rims (hyper black) still may decide to give it a try......

either way if there is one it wouldnt be expensive
