LOL someone's gonna flame ya bro... just be patient.
Not too many people here (if any at all) have this. Pilot Autosport you say? I'd call them and check their website for a writeup/install instructions. Good luck with that one... and try not to f**k anything up
You would still need the key. You would put the key it, and switch it to "on", but instead of continuing to "start" you hit the "push to start" button. To turn the car off, remove the key as normal.
To hook it up, you would splice into the start line either at the fuse box, or in the steering column. I don't have a schematic, but usually it is the red wire coming off of the tumbler. Just fallow the wire from the steering column down to before it enter the fuse box, and splice in the button there.
(This is what I've done to 3 Fords, 1 Honda, and a Dodge. All had the same style of wiring. Never tried it on a GM though)
or you can just go from the clutch sensor.. which senses the clutch is engaged..... you can run a wire from there, because if you cut the clutch wire , the next relay is the ignition switch... basically from there run your wire to the dash, i have it on my car.... the push start engages the starter throw out, then once you let go of it , it disengages the starter, make sure u get that down pat or you'll screw up your starter or flywheel
i am soooo confused...i tried to go out there today and removed the steering wheel cover but could only get the top off...so i was looking all sorts of around...getting to the ignition wire is gonna be a pain huh?
