Hey! Im like brand new to the J-body site i recently bought a 95 2 door Se sunfire (thank you thank you) and ya besides the body work it was a good buy! I paid 2200 Cdn for it and well the deal is it has 226 000 Km on it and its all original tranny and Engine. I hope im in the right thread so ya! I just want to know what you all think .. is it worth my money to make it something. Or should i drop it and get a Civic in a few years?
I would never suggest driving a civic but I'm biased lol
I say that you should be fine as long as you keep your maintenance up to par.

I think 37,000 or something of that nature. It won't matter much cause i'll have new pistons and rods probably before I hit 50,000 miles lol

Also, a suggestion, fill out your registry so that people can offer future advice to you and know what type of vehicle you have etc etc.
If you go to the 3rd Generation Forum, there are a few threads about peoples miles on their vehicles.

that many Km, on a se sunfire, $2200 seems kinda high of a price but like said above, keep up on the maintanence and hopefully everything will work out.
as for me I had 34'700KM on my car when I got it 2002 Cavalier Z24 package with 2.2L Ecotec and paid around $11'900 (Canadian) now have around 73'000KM.......not sure how good or bad of a deal I got but I have no complaints. maybe someone here could let me know......was bought March2004

I should add, that the car was stock when I bought it.....

haha dude i think my car is the better deal lol i only paid 2200 and its a 95 im not saying that in a haha your a loser way just as in the i think we are even for the rip offs!
45,000 kms on my 02 Cavy.
I never meant that you got ripped off. but you are right if you compare km for year then the prices would even out by the time my car gets to be 11 years old........But mine also has an ecotec which right now is a lot better engine but we will just have to wait and see how long it will last, who knows maybe t will be dead in another 2 years...lol
knock on wood

Noooooo! Hahha! i know im just wondering if its worth it!? To like advance in my tuning career with this sunfire? its kind of rusty but i got it all looking nice. the underbody of it has some surface rust but everything is mechanically fit. the tranny's third gear synchro's are out of wack so double clutching is my friend (could you maybe forward some good threads about the tranny and its syncros?) so i dont know 226 000 Km worth the money or just save for a newer sunfire? but in the mean time. should i just do the classic bolt ons for poser performance? Cold air. Strut bars. coilovers (and the proper shocks and struts lol i have heard enough about that) and a muffler? im eventually going to post my car domain site in my sig. so could every one check that out and tell me if its worth it .
it has the 2.2 OHV not the 2200 its a 95 remember. there is a difference isnt there? i thought the 2200 were for the newer ones.
on the 00 cavy i got 67 km
30,300 Miles on my 2003 sunfire ecotec
