last time i started the optima battery post, it got locked haha.

anyways i'm planning on getting a redtop. i looked on the optima site under battery search (http://www.optimabatteries.com/publish/optima/americas0/en/config/battery_search/battery_search.html) to see which part number I needed. I put in Chevrolet Cavalier 2004-1995: 4-cyl. 2.2L and it said "There are no matches available for this vehicle". I've seen plenty of people with optima batteries. Anyone know the part # or what is going on?

Try another GM car... I ran it for my 83 Cutlass Supreme 3.8l (which uses the same size battery as the Sunfire) and came up with this:

OLDSMOBILE
Ciera, Cutlass, Cutlass Supreme, Intrigue, Vista Cruiser
1983 V6 Gas
Alternative Selections:
Part Number: RED75/35
CCA: 720
Model Name: Optima
Battery Group Size: 75DTO

When in doubt, improvise

75/25 model battery is what you should look for.

Also, when you go to whereever you plan on getting the battery, tell them your car and they will give you the proper one.

Its a group 75 size battery you need but I think they all are that size. Good luck with it.
