Is there a big difference between these 2 different years as far as engine parts and so on?
I have a wrecked 98 and Im looking into buying a 2000 to have as a daily driver but I want to know if something goes wrong on the 00, can i yank it off the 98 and replace it on the 00.
2000+ have a different compression ratio, but the pistons would interchange
2000+ does not have an EGR (actually its 99+)
2000+ has a different header, but can use the 98 header with the 99+ gasket
2000+ has a different gauge cluster/wiring setup
2000+ has a different transmission
2000+ has different headlights/corner lights/front bumper, fenders/hood are the same
2000+ interior door panels are made of a different material (plastic)
2000+ has a different center console, but either one works
2000+ has a different dash bezel, the radio and HVAC are flipped around
2000+ has a different head than the 98, water jackets are different shapes

the mid 99 - 02 had high impedence injectors while the 96- mid 99 had the low impedence injectors.

Thats easy. One is a 1998 and the other a 2000, theres your difference.

Just make sure you use the mounting brackets from the same car for the center console. Otherwise it'll sit crooked.

and not all of the door panels are the nice all plastic design, at least one of the 00s have the same crappy ones as the 95-99
yeah i hate that damn vinyl on the doors...it was gay to paint cuz i didnt know at 1st and it was just sticky
