That alluminum tube you bought would replace the current "hose" you have and your filter would go where your airbox is. You use the couplers connect it and hold it inplace and use the tighteners of course to tighten it down.

Understand what I'm saying?

It should look like this minus it going all the way to your throttle body:

Of course we have different engines but you should get the point.

ok, makes sense. So i gotta remove that Black box with the lil filter inside, And basically rip all that out to make room for the Filter at the end of my intake?

Yes. You take everything out and leave the black piece that's over your throttle body cause your new intake is going to connect to it. If you look at my picture and see how the couplers are on each end and tightened, that's how yours should look.

And i heard theyre was a chip or something i had to remove from the Stock part, and put it it with the aftermarket One. Im not entirely to sure about that part. And is something special i have to do Because itZ a Standard, as oposed to a Automatic?

What they are talking about is your IAT sensor. When you start to take out your intake parts, you'll see a sensor, that's your IAT sensor. Your intake that you bought doesn't have a hole for it (atleast that I can see). If it does, that's where you put your sensor, if it doesn't, you need to make a hole and put the sensor in. That will effect what type of gas mileage you get if it's not placed inside but your car will still run fine without it in. Also, if it's out, it could possibly throw a code but might not.

I'll try to explain this as best as I can...

Your sensor detects how the temperature and if it's not hooked up and say laying next to your motor, your sensor will be detecting a hotter temperature and will send more fuel and hence, mess up your gas mileage.

Hopefully I said it correctly...

The sensor should be stuck in one of your intake pieces, I believe it's your hose.

Ok, I found the sensor (turns out it wasnt pluged in, in the first place. Not sure why
So now imma pull it off the Stock intake. Now, on my Intake theres a Lil Black Rubber
Nub. Right about where the sensor was on the first intake. So should i pull that lil Rubber Stopper off my New intake? or leave it and use that Spot for my Sensor?

Lol, yeah it wasnt hooked up, That explains why im burning gas like a 6 Cylinder.

leave the rubber nub in the intake. push the sensor into ti (it won't go easily, try using some silicone or something). the rubber peice is what holds the sensor in so it doesn't come out.

GO PATS!!!

understood. ill leave that in. My intake tube is the same size as the piece i need to connect to (engine) And they didnt send me a Rubber fitting that would work to seal the 2. Like, in the pic, it shows they sent blue rubber fittings to cover. but on one side its alot smaller and doesnt fit on the intake or the engine. Do i gotta buy one that will fit? or is there something i can use to make shift? Pic below of the blue fittings. you can see one side is to small. but i need both sides to be big.

You don't really need it at all, I just used a zip tie and tied the clutch resivior to where my old intake box was connected to the frame of teh car. SO the resivior is pretty much in teh same place as it was before.

Well... I just need to find something that will replace thos Blue Rubber covers, Because one end is to small on them to fit on the part that connects to my engine. Im not really to sure on what to use? or should i go out and Buy something that might work?

And other than that Im just figuring out how to rip that black air box and crap out of there without wrecking anything, lol.
I ran out of day light today. Thx for all your Help guyZ. Im gonna keep hacking away at this .

That sucks bro...but this is a good reason you shouldn't buy "no name" products especially off of ebay. This thing barely fits your car, has no IAT sensor whole, is a partial intake and even the coupler piece doesn't fit onto your stock intake piece.

If you really want a better intake, check out Weapon-Rs. That picture I put up is a picture of Weapon-R's dragon intake...no problems with it. If you're interested, go to www.definedparts.com.

Good luck on whatever you decide to do.

Oh tsk tsk 'BLACK GUY', there is nothing wrong with that intake.

I've had that set up 2 times, and the other generic AEM style a ton of times.
I have the generic black painted AEM knock off now.
NO PROBLEMS.

All that intake is, is Vibrant Performance style. Lets say style 1
They also have an AEM type we'll call style 2
Then there's the 2.2L version curve type, AKA RK Sport CAI extension.

So yes, remove your air filter box behind the battery portion. It pulls straight out, (with a little force) and take out the IAT to reuse it.

Tips on that rubber grommet;
You can get one at Home Depot or Lowes in the loose hardware ilse.....
But.....
The hole itself needs to be enlarged to fit your IAT. I used a dremmel tool, ran around and around till the hole was larger. Put in the grommet and the IAT.
You can get another 3" coupler or 2.75"-3.0" reducer coupler from somewhere.
Actually, Pepboys and Autozone carry that stuff. Diff colors too.

You'll be fine,
Don't need to pay $100000 to get the thing installed.

Go for it.

if it looks like this you screwed up some where.

Or you can do what I did and a few others have done and lop six inches off the cheapest integra intake you can find. cut off the nipple and drill a hole for the IAT, get a 90 degree boot, and get three tightners and there you have it. cheap @$$ intake. works just as well as a short ram with a price in the triple digits. I think i spent 75ish when all was said and done.
