I was installing my system the other day and ran into the problem of not being able to find a spot to get the wire from inside the car to the engine compartment. I tried making it fit through were all the stock wires go but cant seem to get it to go through. Any suggestions?
2 suggestions.
1) Drill a hole a little larger through the firewall. Large enough for a rubber grommet and your wire.
2) Take a flat headed screw driver, a long one. Push into the Large Rubber grommet where your stock wiring is, then turn its handle 90 degrees, that will give you a pry point to push your power wire through.

^ i did #2, works great

98' Pontiac Sunfire SE
i just reached up under the dash witha razor blade and made a slit in the big grommet and used a cloth hanger to pull my wire through worked great.
I ran mine through the grommet where the clutch rod goes (out of the way of any pinch points), snaked it under the dash and under the drivers sill panel.
thanks again for the help will try #2 first then #1 if it does not go well ill post the results tomorrow
ok #2 kinda worked for me but i modified it a bit, what i did was take a flathead with a tip small enough to fit the wire attatch through but big enough so it wouldnt go through i i pushed it through like a charm
