It's possible it could throw a code. But, you could just buy a O2 simulator, or do this at the link at the top of the thread....

Which is alot cheaper and does work.

When I had my exhaust done. I went with a Catco converter. The guy told me it wasn't OBDII complaint. I told him that "I knew and that I had it covered". He said "oh a O2 sim. huh?" And proceeded to weld up all my exhaust; with an O2 bung cause Catco's do not have an O2 bung on them., and I had the Mech. O2 sim on previously to stop the code after putting a hole in stock cat.

Still no code since doing the mech O2 sim.

If you have total stock exhaust, the 2.25" cat would need 2.25" cat back piping as well.

My catco direct fit "high flow" is 2.25" piping, that is one of the reasons I got it.
The normal catco is 2.00" i beieve?

What's the stock size for a 2.4L down pipe? On 2200's it's barely 2". And the cat back piping is 2". Summit racing says the direct fit for 2.4L is 3" outlet. Is that right? Seems a little to big for stock. Maybe a miss spelling?

If he already bought a magnaflow, then get that one put one and save money for something else. $80 (or what ever it cost) for magnaflow, and $3-$5 for the 2 spark defoulers (which is what the mech. O2 sim is) is alot cheaper than going back and spending $150 for the direct fit. But thats your choice.
