I have a 02 cavi 2.2l and i have heard hat some intakes for our car don't replace the whole factory system. Is this true? i am looking to buy a intake off ebay because from personal experience there is little difference from the $250 intake to a ebay one? At least with my last car a 95 probe gt there was no differnce. If there is let me know i am new to this car i just got i a month ago.

most ebay intakes hook up to the black box on top of the engine with the 2200 on it. the rest hook up straight to the throttle body. just remove the tuner tube and it should be alrite. you don't get jack from an intake anyways.

yes if you get the dragon intake for the 98-02 2.2l, you'll be fine. it hooks right up to the throttle body. and if they send you the 95-97 one by mistake all you'd need is a 90 degree elbow. only paid a third of the price of that one though.
