Install Short Ram Intake

Hey guys, I just got my air intake in the mail. It is a JDM Racing Short Ram Intake. The only problem i have with installing it, is where is the breather valve located and what do i do with the iat sensor b\c their is no hole for that. Can anyone help me? Thank you.

P.S. The air intake is made out of aluminum pipe and has 2 hoses that came with it, for two tubes that run out of the intake. Thanks.

If there is no hole for the IAT sensor, you better drill one. The IAT sensor will help decide on what your MPG is...if you leave it out you will probably throw a code or your MPG will be less.

I dont know about a '97 but I didnt throw a code when I rerouted my IAT sensor. Hell didnt notice any loss of gas mileage either. But I also did not see any gains from it.

I got the intake installed today all the way through the florida rain. I took the sensor and put it directly in the pipe. So, right now, it is laying inside the pipe. I have the wires fitted in between where the filter and the pipe meet. So, since i did that, i have not thrown a code yet. But the increase in performance is better, the throttle response is great. I have a rebuilt engine of a 2.4l put in my car. Now, all i have to do is get a z24 throttle body. Thanks for your help.

Might be the difference between the 2.2 OHV and ECOTECs...I know that's what I experienced...

i have a 2000 2200 and i didnt throw a code when i had mine moved, i think as long as the sensor is connect to the wire its ok, or if u put a resistor in it, now if u unplug it and leave it out, like leave nothing hooked to the wires, then you will throw a code
