hey everyone. i was never into cars until i got one, lol. i have a 2003 i4 camry le with no options on it. i want to modify it...i want to put on a body kit, rims, exhaust, lights..that whole jammy. i don't think i'll be touching the engine (because i'm not very familiar with cars) but i'd like to make the a bit faster...but nothin serious.
i wanna work the exterior first..and i was just wondering if there were any tips or any suggestions from people here. also, if people even modified camrys. there are plenty other cars out there but i have taken a liking to the camry and this picture really got me into it:

i was told to lower the car and change suspensions first..then throw on some 17 rims..then get the body kit. anyway, i'm completely new at this and i was just wondering what other people thought.
that first link dont work
congrats on getting a Toyota Camry.
not sure how much we could help you since this is a site for Cavaliers and Sunfires.

ok you were told this, this, and to do that. first you need to sit back and think about what you want to do to your car. i mean, it is your car and your money. im sure there are site and forums for Camrys just got to search for them

Im a Xbox 360 fanboy...and damn proud of it!!
a lot of people told me its not worth modifying a camry, especially a 5th gen camry...but i'm not sure. i really like the camry and i want to modify it to look nice..but i hear the prices drop ferociously when you start to modify your car.
so i was also gonna ask opinions on selling the camry (getting a lil over 10 grand) and buying a used car (that gets modded a lot more) and fixin the new one up...
i like the camry and i'd like to mod it but if it's really not a car worth modding..then..yeah.
word..lol, my friend gave me a few links and i came across this one without realizing its a site for certain cars..haha my bad.
You could still stick around here even though you dont have a Chevy......
But first start with simple springs and 18's and see how much you like it, then go on form there. No modern day cars have good resale value when you mod them so there's no real way around that.
If you can get 10k for the camry, and you want a good car for around the same price, look for a used S2000, WRX, BMW, Audi
Personally I'd find a descently priced Audi A4 and be satisfied for awhile......you can find some nicely tuned 98+ ones for around 10-15k........G*luck

thanks for the welcome lol. i felt like an ass.
anyway, another big thing for me is mpg. i need a car with good mpg like the camry or the mazda 3.
but yeah..i'll see whats up. i'm gonna read a lot more and make a final decision on the camry.
