what they mean by the core charge is that wehn you buy the throttle body you have a given amount of time i think its 2 weeks could be wrong to send in your stock throttle body. Then they will credit you back the $100. I think on rsm site they give you that in store credit some other sites will give you the 100 cash back. Its the same thing as when you replace a battery they charge you 5-10 dollar core charge until you return the one you already have. hope that clears things up for ya

Actually Tyler, that's a bit off.

What the core charge is money you are paying for to actually use their supply beforehand, in this case, their throttle body. Now...if you send them your stock throttle body, they will give you store credit for the amount of the core charge (if they charged you $100, you'll get $100 store credit). Not all places are like this, some will actually give you money back.

Now, if you decide NOT to send them your stock throttle body, your just out $100 store credit...

Just a tip: Keep your eye out for their Throttle body being sold in the classifieds...people sell theirs all the time. I actually got lucky and found someone who was parting out their Sunfire and I got it for extremely cheap and gave him my stock one.

I never heard any problems with their header. If you're getting a discount anyways...go for it.

i plan on upgrading my throttle body to RSM's 62mm as well. i'll do that after i install my RSM stage I s/c kit. i was gonna recommend exactly what NJHK said..shop around and def. check out the classifieds. paying full retail price always hurts. and i hear great things about their tb, worth the money. good luck on your modding.

Blown.

No problem, that's why I'm here. Actually your question influenced me to put it in the FAQ in case someone in the future is curious about what the whole "core" deal is. Next time it's updated it will be in there.

Filip, no problem...good luck with your boost in the future.
