well if u look at my car its ok looking
i already have it going faster with a new air intake and exhaust
but now i have some new look ideas-- i figure since my car is red , black would be a good 2nd color . so i was thinking about a 1000 or more red body kit(nothing to crazy looking , just something that fits and looks well. Then maybe a black racing hood and some black vinyls ( maybe some small flames) to match the racing hood
oh yea i have a 4door but i dont care say what u will
so anything else i should know
I would stay away from the vinyl...It has the tendency of making a car go from Class to Ass. As for the kit...You're looking at anywhere from about 5-800 bones..depending on the style, material and where you buy it.....then expect to pay about another 400 or so (At least) to have it fitted and painted by a body shop. That's where you need to do some shopping...or have a friend with a hookup
. Now..the hood..again depending on style will run you anywhere from about 350-500 bucks...pluuuus another 100 or so dollars shipping.
It sounds like you are going to be spending some cash here...so I'd keep a close eye on the Group Purchase forum...there's a lot of super deals that come through that you can jump on...I'd take a look and see if any are still going for hoods or bodykits....If not just give it a couple weeks...there's always something new in there. I agree...vinyl tends to be the poor mans accessorie and looks cheap SOMETIMES. It's hard to make vinyl look good on a car, if you can pull it off though, more power to you.
I would suggest instead of a black painted hood, get a carbon fiber hood. If you want a body kit, there a some really nice ones for the cavalier (even the 4 doors). Check out RK Sport's kits and other various companies. You can see what people have or ask what companies make nice kits in the "exterior" forums.
Also, be very careful in what you buy in the "Group Purchase" forum...I've seen some shady stuff but most of the time it's legit and no problems with purchases.
