i have a front windshield decal i need to put on, all i konw it is to wash the window good first. since i will have to cut some off the sides to make it the right width, i figured i would cut it after i got it on so that way if there was a little gap that i didnt measure right or something, i could just cut the sides off and it wouldnt be noticeable....idk someone please help me out here!

Well its just like window tinting, I believe window tinting is more advanced, I would make sure you got a second person to help you with windshield decal, it makes it alot easier, Just make sure you clean the windshield good with window cleaner, Make sure you peel the sticky take off then paste it onto the window slowly, If you have the like window tint kind just use soapy water in a spray bottle and a squeegy pad, then use a razor blade to cut off the edges.
Good Luck
spraying down a lil bit of windex helps too. makes it so it doesn't stick instantly and you have a chance to push all the bubbles out.

SO EVERYTHING!
this is what i did. placed it where i wanted it on the windshield. used little pieces of tape to hold it in place. once it was centered, i peeled back one top corner and pulled it down slowly on a 45 degree angle. while i was pulling it back, i had a plastic card that i was running across the vynal so it wouldnt bubble. if you take ur time it will come out good
alright thanks man, i guess i will just have to take my time and mess around with it for a little while, if it dont work the first time ill just get another one

You can do this to:
Take a spray bottle add 4-5 drops of dawn in it spray down the windshield and the sticker shouldnt stick until you squeegee all the water out, you can slide it around until you have it where you want it.

ya i was going to say soapy water, and it can slid around on ya alright
when you squeege it, it gets rid of the water this is just to position it.
water, little bit of soap, and something to push the water out from under the vynal, ie credit card or even all the way up to a squegy. The soap and water come out and the stickyness resumes and it sticks rather well. Mine took quiet some time to yank off the windshield when i removed it. Its not a sticker, its vynal.

The Vinyl isnt sticky to begine with, So you wont have to worry about it. I use the same material for the letters on the side of my car, with the same method, and even an accident with a toyota corolla couldn't destroy them.
