I am Matt...........Just joined about five minutes ago.
I have what i think is a rare j-body. It's a 2002 sunfire with a 2.2lL Ecotec motor.
It came with every option on the SE model.
Does anyone know how many of these car were made in 2002?

02 was the switch over year for the eco. i'm not sure how rare your car is but i do know the 02 cav with the eco is diferent then the 03 and up which may make it difficult to find performance stuff but good luck don't be discoraged i'm sure some of the guys with sunfires can tell you more.

Welcome Matt. Actually the 2002s with ECOs in them aren't that rare, I know alot of people with them. Since people knew that the ECOTEC motor was being introduced, they were interested in getting it and I believe part of the year it became a standard to for the LS Sports to have the ECOTEC motor.

Now a rare car is a 4 door z24 with the 2.4 motor, now that's a car you don't see everyday.

That's mine but I saw 3-4 02 Z24 4doors but they were all grey. If you do a search in the members area, you'll find if it's "rare" or not.

Nothing is better than having a family car and having the same power has the coupe Z24.
