I was roaming around the car customs site for suspension mods and came across the control arm bushings. It says that they're for wheel hop during hard launches. How hard of a launch do you have to do to get yours wheels to hop? I just don't see how this is feasable in a front wheel drive car.

wheel hop happens a lot. launching even a front wheel drive creates it. big influence in 1/4 mile times

well, some of us arent capable of wheel hop do to the lack of power in our pathetic little 2200s! unless of course you spend some money on them and make them powerful, me, i just cant afford it after buying my new car, lol

my old 2.2 ohv gets crazy wheel hop...................................feels like my little sunfire is getting ripped in half from the major "power" it puts out. yea just jokin. But seriously i get a lot of wheel hop,

got it bad when i first had the car...completely stock. After stiffer mounts and strut tower braces...no more wheel hop.
^^^^^ yea ive yet to do any suspension mods sooooo im just living with it. But actually ive noticed since I got some new wider tires it is not quite as bad.

I get really bad wheel hop with my 2.3 .....
Sucks at the track... and in rain... omg when it rains... i barely have to touch the gas and it hops bad. (need different tires)
yeah i got wheel hop so bad at the track tonight that my abs light came on for the entire race, i lowered my tire pressure and it wasn't as bad but it was still there i'm getting those control arms soon so hopefully that brings down my 15.6 time
RK SPORT sells tubular lower control arms that are supposed to get rid of it compleatly
I'm thinkin they may be my next big purchase. Try dumping the clutch at 4 grand and tell me how bad it is. Thats wheel hop.
