A couple more noob questions

Hi, everyone. I was just wondering how do you check the airfilter in a 2000 sunfire? Do I just unplug those 2 plugs attaching some wire, unscrew the 4 screws and lift up that plastic box looking thing to check underneath? Also, how simple would it be to install aftermarket intake (something similar to one of these: http://www.raceperformanceparts.com/catalog/images/is7000.jpg)? I hear you can make your own intake pretty cheap that works just as fine ... r there any tutorials or FAQ on making one? thank you very much

^^ in experience would take an hour and from what this guy is asking he is inexperienced. dont get me wrong though everyone has to start somewhere.

probably take me 3 hours and a 6-pack, lol. I checked the air filter and it looks clean. Thanks for the help Does that plastic box direct cooler air from downwards for the intake? It looked like it might be some sort of heat shield for the air or something. Would the air from the kind of intake I listed above in the pic be warmer since I assume it would be comming from closer to the engine? (though I understand the less turns/wider tube of the aftermarket would be superior). When I install an aftermarket intake, do I have to completely remove that plastic box?

I appreciate the tip on the intakes ... probably saved me some $$ thnx guys. So there is not much of a difference between these 3 except the price? (the cheaper one actually looks like it has less bends/better shape??)

One last dumb question, lol. When I was fidling around with the air filter, I noticed behind the plastic box (outside of it), some sort of pebble or something must have fallen in some time ago. I tried to pick it out, but it just fell deeper into the car to what I assume now is underneath the plastic box. Is that gonna cause any problems in the future?

forgot to mention, the pebble was about 1 x 1 centimeter or so

less bends is easier to install i have the same one, but if you go with ebay you might as well get a cold air like
THIS

pretty sure that one will fit since it is the same engine.

about the pebble if it didnt fall INTO anything it should be good.
