Ok, I wasn't sure whether to post this here or wheel & tire, but I am going to get new rims this spring and I was wondering how to paint the callipers. Do you just spray paint them? Do I have to remove the pads first so not to get paint on them? Also what all needs to be taped off so I don't get paint on it?

Sand or use a wire brush too scuf up the caliper so the paint sticks and then clean it good... then tape off everything, I used painters plastic as you would have to use a lot of tape otherwise...if you happen to get paint on the rotor a bit dont worry too much, the first time you hit the breaks that paint will come right off......
Then apply LIGHT coats every 10 minutes or so, by the time I was done I must have put roughly 15 coats or more....remember to allow a good day of drying before you drive the car and I dont know how the whether is where you live but I would wait for a nice warm day to do it.

Make sure you use high-temp paint made for use on brake components.

I took the brakes apart and wire brush sanded them then painted them with caliper brake paint. make sure you know how to re assemble your brakes before you do it...you will want to bleed them as well when your done
I would recomend taking the caliper completly off, and yes remove the brake pads.......please for the love of god remove the brake pads, lol.
Post some pics when you're done.
