Iv got about $600.00 in this kit. I use the oil tube for my return. Instead of going through tapping the oil pan. Save a lot of headaches. U just can't check you're oil. And I remove the value cover to change the oil. But if you know what you're doing it's. Not that big deal. Put 5 Quarts in and if it don't leak out. It won't evaporate LOL.....

If it's a everyday driver I wouldn't recommend removing the oil tube. But mines just a weekend warrior

Only thing I don't like about out motors is if/when you turbo, is the dipstick and/or the damn coolant line.

You can easily keep the dipstick and coolant rail.
At $600 you better be ready to re-build this multiple times.
I don't want to rain on your parade, I'm glad your trying to mod the 2.2, but quality parts will make it last much longer.
My build is easily over $5000.
If you have any questions along the way, feel free to ask.
There are a couple good 2200 guys on here.

I understand, the parts I have are not bad. Remember that just $600.00 for a decent turbo and a good use turbo smart 38mm Wastgate. I didnt talk about all the money I have in arp studs, 660cc inj. 255 intank, 1.7 rollers, head work, quiet list go's on and on...... But I do appreciate anybody that helps

That is a sick setup. Thanks for the picks. Hey no A.C.. LOL

I ran 12psi through a stock motor on cheap eBay parts for over a year with a "t04e" .63 turbo. Nothing ever really went wrong with that setup and it probably was in the 225whp range. Even my most powerful setup was on an off brand gt35.

I ran without a dip tube for the better part of three years lol.

If you keep the power under 275ish on stock motor there really are no surprises provided the motor is maintained and mechanically sound.

The tune is the part that matters.

I only started to run into issues when I went to big power and started running to 7k. And even then the thing never hesitated once I worked out the bugs.

I'd like to see what it does when you get it running.

Not to mention someone that has Jbody tuning experience. I would not bring my car to someone who didnt.

cobalt, f-body, etc do not count when compared to J stuff.

yeah that's what it is I'm running lean and I have installed the fuel system yet I'm still running on stock fuel system that's why I haven't tried to push it very hard

Ok I installed a 255 intank and 60lb injectors. Now it won't even hardly run. I'm fine with that if all I need to do is tune. Does this sound right??

I understand that I need to tune this car. Regardless of what injectors I have. I'm only going to run 8lbs tops. I also have a set of 310cc what do u think would be better the 660cc I have or the 310cc??
Re: turbo project LN2

660 are way over kill for 8psi, regardless of the turbo size.
I would run the 310.
Im running 720 and pushing 25 psi from a TD05.
Im almost at 90% DC wich is higher than I want to be.
You need to reset you injector constant, and the tune will change the pulse width so proper fueling can occur.

I would stop running the car until you are tuned.
You can do major engine damage while running lean.
Stay out of boost, and keep your RPM's down if you have to drive this.
