As most of you know I was in the process of doing a very nice base clear paint job and had been working on my body work for months..well to make it a short story the car got hit in the door and destroyed the door. Since it was not my fault they wrote me a check for 2k and I got to keep the car...so I went and bought a 50 dollar door and put it on the best I could and let it roll. well 1 day I was working on a project and using some gloss white rustoleum spray paint and got to looking at my primered sanded down car..so 1 wet sanded fender later I found out the paint actually layed down and looked decent so I started sanding the front end and so on....and here are a few pics (btw I did this back in September and the car still looks pretty good)...
Before
Just finished spraying and unmasking the front end
The morning after
just installed lamps
Door and rear fender (and if your wondering hood has water on it from where I was wet sanding door and fender.lol)
Did the roof with matte black and plasti dip on hood
Actually looks really good for a spray can
Yep it looks pretty good.
GMR has got nothing on this
not bad, although... pictures online are a bad representation of the final outcome. hope it looks just as good in person...
M45/OS crank/2.4 snout. It's nice to be injected but I love being blown!
I did the front bumper on my red car and it lasted quite a while. Still looked good when the bumper was ripped off in the accident. I vote shoot some clear over the entire car when done and you should be good to go for a while.
"Oil Leak ? What oil Leak ? Oh, Thats Just The Sweat From All The HorsePower!!"
It actually looks better in person...a few runs here and there but iv considered clearing it..i may respray it first then clear...either that or maybe a color change for the hell of it.lol

jeffie, if u will come to south ga and get it I will sell...hood too...I plan on selling the car eventually and will not be letting that hood or bumper go....btw the filler plate on a grand am fits that spot...that's how I got mine
Nice job. Proof that execution plays a large part in a paint job.
Although spray bombed paint jobs will never last very long, they can come out good if you take your time.
I'm considering spraying my beater. This thread isn't helping. LOL

Do it! I think I have like $60 bucks in my whole spray job..lol just stay away from black....I know for a fact white and red lay down decent with minimal dry spray between spray pattern
Needs a bath...but as she sits today
