I lowered my car... even more.

D-specs and GCs, 600lb springs in the front, 375lb springs in the rear.
Cut and modified strut towers, cut and modified struts.
I ride it static all day errday.

No just kidding. My wheel fell off.

Let this be a warning.
CHECK YOUR STUFF AND GET IT ALIGNED.

My front tires are ruined. I did a 150 mile drive over the weekend, without an alignment, and must of had some MAJOR toe problems.

So for now I'm running z fronts and aftermarket rears... I actually REALLY like how the stockers look compared to the aftermarket wheels.

Good news is, I didn't munch my oil pan, my rotor didn't even touch the ground. The only 2 things that got scraped up were my front lip (Which is made of urethane) and the k member where the control arm attaches.

Glad you were okay. Wheels falling off can be catastrophic sometimes.

Ouch

Yeah, I was only doing about 15-20 when it happened

It was much more pleasant then the time it happened to me in my Jeep w/ 31s
Stabilizer shock was blown, hit a bump while turning, BAM!!!! That time I was doing about 55.

Holy f@#$ing Schnikies that is low! Lower then my husband's Contour SVT. Do you have any issues of driving simply anywhere? Like going into gas stations or getting into your driveway?

I wish I was actually that low.

There are a few roads I can't take anymore... because the ride is way too rough. Clearance wise I'm pretty good. Only thing that scrapes is my resonator... and that's sagging pretty bad.

Worst is getting into my brothers yard, I have to take his driveway at a crazy angle, and I still make out with the pavement.
I compare it to rock crawling... you have to pick your lines right, or you're effed.

coil overs saved your rotors, lol. you didnt stop when you noticed a loud ass growl from the front? same thing happened to me from using mcgard wheels nuts. they didnt seat correctly on the wheels i had. but i didnt lose my wheels, close to it for sure. I did have two lug nuts barely holding on though.

Being low saved my rotors

It was fine until I turned around a corner. I noticed a familiar noise. So I slowed down and started to pull to the side of the road, as soon as I did that the wheel flew off.

Strange thing is. I got to my house the night it happened (by a ride, my car stayed the night on the side of the road) and I found one of my lug nuts (Gorilla automotive). So I did that trip, with only 4, or 3, and got back, until it finally screw up.

Sketchy... I got to 75 at points of that trip...

I simply cannot understand how someone can drive that low.

Alignment won't cause your wheel to fall off. It's either from improperly tightened/loosened lugnuts, or you bottomed out on something HARD.

I mentioned after AZNcav's post that the lugs were loose. I'm blaming it 100% on myself for improper maintenance. Wake up call, that's for sure.
