Just like with kids, when it's someone else's you can admire it, say it's cute, have fun, play with it, then when it starts being tempermental and @!#$ting all over the place, it's not your problem.

Somedays I simply feel like showing off the color. This car seriously gets zero attention when out cruising locally (well.. until I surprise people with a quick pull). When the hood is off people overlook the s/c Lotus I roll with and go right for my engine bay. It's a good feeling!
Plus the clear coat is flaking off (again). It seems every 2 years I have to have the hood completely scuffed and cleared. Looking into better clear coat options along with a better heat absorbing mat under the hood to keep the flaking down.

I'm not sure if you could call it blue... But regardless, I am completely happy with the color. The red I was using before became played out in my eyes.

It's been about a year now since its been black. The statement is true... once you go black, you don't go back... made me fall in love with the front clip.

LOL so true!
I've been distracted the past few months and collecting parts for the car. Should be making a few power changes soon. Mostly maintenance however! Oh.. and that @!#$ty looking gauge pod will be removed shortly... going to combine all gauges into one small unit.. whether its the Innovate's iPhone/iPod app or Brockway Engineering's digital gauge unit.
