Ok first this is not my car. I took these pictures Saturday for a friend. He has a account on here but does not come on often. He will likely pop in. I do not know all the specs on what he is doing so I can only answer so much.
Car is a 2000 cavalier vert. Start out with a LD9 with the GM charger, then was twin charged LD9. He later did a Ecotec swap. Now he is doing a RWD swap. He it using the FWD motor and trans. Truly it will be a mid engine cavalier RWD. It is a work in progress. Car is also RHD swapped (without using Toyota cavalier parts.

Metal that has been cutout so far. Aiming for 2000lb car.
What I do know is the plan is for fuel cell in the front, radiator will stay up front.

I saw the rwd crx build on honda tech and always wanted to do one in a j whenever I'm in a position to do so. I look forward to progress on this.
I'm loving what I see here.

that thing will hook like CRAZY and run even harder.
epic build.
(why does the rear rotor have ten lug nuts??)
and how did he do the front wheel bearings like that?
He is using hubs from a newer GM for the rear and they are not 5 x 100, so it has hub adapters, which is what it has so many studs.
The fronts will still be changing alot. If I remember it correctly he will be doing a custom upper and lower control arm setup using a different shock (not a strut). Factory strut towers will not be used.

Wow that's some amazing work!
I just hope this guy knows exactly what he's doing. That being said, I'll be watching this thread closely.
