So how many j's do you have now?
I just swapped headlights on mine and could not figure out a way to cut the corner light brackets off without removing the fender. I tried with a dremel but was going through cutting blades like there was no tomorrow. Grinder was too big to get in there. I ended up removing the fender and drilling out the spot welds in fear I would damage the fender. What did you use to cut your brackets off? Nice work so far. You planning on painting it at some point?

Use lucas oil additive for the ld9. Helps big time. I like the stock look with a lip. I went the same route.
GMR has got nothing on this

actually there are 2 spot welds on top and bottom and one bracket that i cut. i didn't want to hastle with the pulling the fender. if you remove the 2 bolts in the upper rail, the fender will move out about 6". then you can get to everything easily. i also used and air grinder with a cut off wheel to cut just on tab off.

yeah i might try the lucus.
thanks guys. just wish it was warm so i could paint it and i am so suprised how high it sits. i am definitely use to the sedan laying on the ground look. lol
When I removed the corner brackets on my old fenders, I just took some tin snips and cut it off, then filed down the edges. It sounds ghetto, but eff it. It worked out well lol. Good luck, dude. I'm expecting this to come out as nice as the sedan did.

i know. i even thought of pulling this hood for a stock hood. tho. like i told ben earlier today i'm just looking for clean. nothing flashy so no one should want to mess with it.
