It's been a while, but if any of you remember me I was the guy with the really clean indigo z24.
Many people said fail to my climate controls, but it's the way it was when purchased. All in all It was a really fun car and I took good care of it and kept up with regular maintenance . Unfortunately, I no longer own this car due to the many mechanical failures once it passed 160k. Here's a quick breakdown:
160k - headgasket failure. It had to happen in the pouring rain with 3 friends in the car.
163k - Water pump fails. I needed my car because i was going to college, which was about 50km away.
164k - Engine now develops a constant diesel sound. Mechanic can't find anything wrong.
167k - Something in the auto transmission fails causing the car to run really rough and loud. This has to happen downtown on Dec 25 @ like 2am with 2 females in the car.
Car runs ok @ 10kmh, so I slowly drive it to one of their house and tow it the next day. Embarrassing! but they were cool with it.
That last incident was the last straw. I put it up for sale and the first person that came to look at it bought it. I explained the mechanical problems with it, and he said he'll take care of them.
Fast forward, I now own a 1996 Special Edition Acura Integra, which I purchased for a mere $850. It has leather interior, sunroof, ac. The reason for the low price was due to 326K, some typical honda rust, and some rips in the driver seat. Nothing that can't be fixed. So far i did alot of upgrades:
-b20 engine with 65k on it
-GSR Blades
-dyed the carpet black
-Tune up; k&n short ram filter, new sparkplugs , wires, synthetic oil change.
-Type R gauge cluster
-Dual DIN stereo
There is a lot more that doesnt come to mind right now.
It now runs amazing, doesnt burn or leak oil, good on gas and smooth ride. I do plan to lower it later on, though
Now for some pics.
I have a feeling a few people might hate, but a car is a car; it gets you from point A to B.
C&C welcome
cheers!
Looks like a downgrade to me! You could have fixed the car for what it cost you to buy the integra.
Whats up people?
Nice cav and integra. My only gripe would be both are automatics!
I noticed that, too. Also, I don't understand the logic in selling a car that is 5 years newer and has half the miles of the new one. But, meh..
I think the climate controls in the Cavi were actually pretty cool. It all looked really clean.
And this is in the wrong forum... just saying.

Wouldn't this go in the ''other cars'' section? I think you should have fixed the clean blue cavy.
