Hey,
Got pissed with my B&M knob, so I decided to get a new one. Decided to delete the reverse lock out at the same time, it also pisses me off, so I had to make a new shift boot.
Ended up with this....
Blox Racing limited edition 24k Gold Type-R knob
It's like 420g or something like that, very heavy, feels great.
Here is the final setup with my "free" shift boot mod. Yes i know it's been done before, but it was free and I think it's funny.
Flame away.... Hahahaha
I'll give ya a pat on the back for matching but... eww. Lol.
is that the big bag or the little bag?
like it....twice! ...even though its a type r knock off knob.....
Nice, you no running carpet in the car?

I dig it. Glad to see someone else isn't scared to do away with the reverse lockout. Is the blox knob threaded?
i havent had me reverse lick out in like 4 years. as soon as i got my b and m the tab was gone. i am however going to remove the whole mechanism shortly.
Evofire - it's the bag from 26er, had to slit the sides to get it to fit, still barely fits.
Whitecavy - I haven't had carpeting in a few years, I don't suggest it...lol
Micah - Yuppers, M12x1.25 which is the thread B&M uses, can also get a few M10 sizes for Hondas.
Hahaha it gets a laugh and it's not the POS pleather stock one that was all ripped to @!#$.
Thanks for the comments guys!
Nice. It's not as easy to find aftermarket knobs with our thread size. I have a Razo knob which is another nice weighted knob that comes in M12x1.25. I love it.
Because race car :p
True baller status now Dave lol

ive got a big bag on mine right now. i have several little ones at home i may try later...lol
Nice. A weighted knob is on my shopping list. Is there a pretty noticeable difference from the B&M to this?
Micah - The M12x1.25 is the thread size Subaru uses on all their stock shifters and most of the aftermarket short shifters avalible for them, so thats what I was searching for. I just googled it and it returned quite a bit of results.
Evofire - Give it a shot, my buddy gave me the bag so I'm pretty sure its from a 26er. Like I said the bag is a square, so I had to slit the sides in order for it to fit the rectangle shape of the shift boot suround.
Evilution - This knob is probably more than twice the weight of the stock one, it does sit up higher however, but it takes away alot of the knotchyness that I found my B&M had, very smoth shifting. Haven't got a chance to really bang through the gears with it yet as I only put it in last night and its been raining for like 3 days here. Blox also sells a simple sphere knob that comes in at 490g (as opposed to the 420g mine is). So that option is there if you want something even heavier.
Like I said, this feels way better than the B&M knob and its funny....plus I'm Italian, so obviously I LOVE gold! hahaha
Glad some others are getting a kick out of it!
Knob is baller, good for another tenth I'd say!
Nice idea. Reverse Lockouts are for sissy's.
Mine didn't even work anymore, the metal tab on the shifter wore through the plastic stopper on the shifter base.
All you had to do was give it a bit of force when shifting to reverse and it would go in.
But seriously, who goes 5th to reverse.
"whats the retail on one of those?"
DOPER.
more than you can afford.. PAL. blox.
REDECO - It was $55 right from the Blox site, they are regularly $50, but its $5 more for the limited edition colours.
Evan - CR isn't my thing either, I hate drinking CR, 40 Creek wiskey 100% better, but it doesn't come in a cool bag...lol
Brad - You love this idea, don't lie
hahaha Good for a tenth or so easy!

Toyota/Scion also uses the same thread size. I actually found out the Razo knobs come in our thread size after seeing that they were a dealer option for Scions. Was a good choice for me since I already have Razo pedals.
As for the CR bag. I think the new Crown Royal Black comes in a black and gold bag instead of purple/gold. I'm very tempted to get one to use until I have new boots made lol.
