Time for a Change
Thursday, September 08, 2011 8:30 AM
As some people have noticed, and even seen on Facebook I have been making a couple changes.

First I took the interior out a few weeks ago. Cleaned up some wiring. More securely attached the cruise control module. Just made things you really don't see more clean, and more unseen.

During the process

Finished product

Next big thing was removing the supercharger. It was just time. So this is how the car sits while I decide.

Since this picture I have removed the fuel lines and fuel rail.

So now what to do.

Roll it off the nearest cliff or hill, either will suffice!

Ok so I'm finally letting it out. Here is what the change is about.

Wait what??

Yeah she is back and.....

BETTER!!!!

I have to give a big thanks to a few people Great friends. Ryan, Thomas, and Fetter (since you were with Ryan when it got dropped off).

It was a very good thing this was taken off. Once Stiegemeier got the charger open they found some where on the front drive assembly. The person I got the charger from had pushed the shaft in on installing the 2.5 pulley and it caused wear. They said it could have lasted 50k, or come apart next time around. So front drive has been rebuilt and she is ported. Hope to have it on tonight and touch up the tune tomorrow.

Hopeing to get on the dyno next mount to see what the gains are. Also got a 62mm TB coming as well. Plan to test on the dyno difference between 57mm TB and 62mm TB. Which ever gives me the most I will use.

Sorry Brad it was too much fun!!! lol!!

Looks good. Hopefully the gains are worth the price. Just the rebuild will probably be more than worth it.

Yes, shold be like a new charger.

Cost I paid for the charger kit, and rebuild, port work, meth kit. I still have less than a new kit from GM or Pace.

Good thing the Eco swap was not in the plan. lol
Love it, glad you didn't polish it too. Good thing they found the potential destruction and got it fixed.
One thing, if you do use the 62mm TB, I hope you ported the opening of the S/C to 62mm or greater as well. Being that the S/C port is at 60mm, that 62mm will make the air flow hit the edges of the S/C port hole disrupting the incoming air... basically it will react like if you had a 60mm or possibly smaller.
Let us know how it all went.

I know what you are saying. I know they ported that part of the blower, as well as my TB spacer. I will measure and see what the opening is.
